Cant believe its been so long since I have blogged but life as just been so busy lately. Hoping that these last 17 days of school goes fast and I can get back to crafting and posting about it. I will definitely have more time for a few months before school starts up again with a 7th grader, 2nd grader and a 1st grader. Anyway on to something crafty...
My son's kinder class and the 3 other kinder classes put on a Kindy 500. You must google Kindy 500 if you haven't heard of it before. Super fun. So as my husband and son made his cardboard truck, I decided to add a little touch of me to it since it was hard not to be involved with the project. I raided my stash of acrylic. I found a 12" x 6" piece from Kits2Remember, which has been bought and changed to FromCover2Cover. After finding the piece that would work, I used my cricut, 50 states cricut cartridge, red vinyl and cut out "CALIFORNIA." I also used my cricut to cut out black cardstock letters and numbers and adhered it to the acrylic. To hang it on the "truck" we used the crop-a-dile to punch holes into the acrylic, my husband used a drill to go through the cardboard and we attached it with jump rings. It was a fast 10 minute project that added a like character to his truck. Did I mention he was SUPER DUPER proud!
